Interventional Cardiology Fellowship

Our program provides training in all aspects of interventional cardiology including ICE, IVUS and Flow wire evaluations; PCI (including post IV lysis for STEMI); Angiojet and other aspiration thrombectomy modalities; Rotablator; Peripheral vascular interventions (including occasional venous PTA/stent, 4-vessel cerebral arteriography); Endomyocardial biopsies; Transseptal puncture; Complex PFO and ASD closure; Balloon valvuloplasty for AV or MV stenosis; VSD closure; Alcohol septal ablation for HOCM; and coronary aneurysm coiling. Our average interventional volume is 750 coronary interventions per year of which, 300 are performed via radial approach.

We have three interventional faculty members with full time academic appointments who are dedicated to teaching. Research opportunities are plentiful including collaborative work with basic scientists.
